Friday: Sept. 25th:

9:00 AM Show set-up begins; extra hands are always appreciated

5:00 PM Registration table opens

6:00 PM Meet and greet mixer with snacks for everyone. Also – a special event is being planned – (you never know; that’s why you need to attend!)

Saturday: Sept. 26th

9:00 AM Registration table opens

10:00 AM Speaker: Gerald Griffin, Bettas

11:00 AM Speaker: Barbie Fiorentino, spawning L-number plecos

12:00 NOON (or after Barbie finishes her presentation) Lunch break on your own.

2:00 PM Speaker: Luiz Rulff, Killifishs

3:30 PM Speaker: Barbie Fiorentino, fish nutrition

4:30 PM Showroom closed for judging

6:30 PM-?:?? Pizza Party, Braz Walker “Mystery Fish” auction & Dr. Keith Arnold Fund auction, announcement of all-species show winners, and FUNNY MONEY AUCTION.

ONLY FUNNY MONEY WILL BE ACCEPTED. Emceed by Greg Steeves. MAY GREAT FUN BE HAD BY ALL!!!!!!! YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOUR FUNNY MONEY WILL GET YOU !!!

Sunday: Sept. 27th

All FISH SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM TANKS NO LATER THAN 10:00 A.M.   ALL FISH REMAINING AFTER 10:00 A.M. WILL BE SOLD IN THE AUCTION AS TCA DONATIONS.

10:00 AM Auction Registration begins

11:00 AM Live and silent auctions begin; auctions last until all items are sold

 Confirmed speakers include Barbie Fiorentino (L-number catfish), Gerald Griffin, President of the International Betta Congress (bettas), Luiz Rulff (killifish) and Greg Steeves (CARES Program).

A betta show and an all-species show will also be conducted.

Payment of the show entry fees ($3.00 per entry) must be paid when you arrive to place your fish in the tanks.   The scientific names of all show entries are required at time of entry (9-21-2015) in the show. A list with only the number of entries will not be accepted.  No Exceptions.

Show classes are as follows:

      Old World cichlids

      New World cichlids

       Scavengers

       Livebearers

       Other Species not listed.

Cash awards will be given (first-$30, second-$20 and third-$10) to winners in each class.

The person with the most all-species show entries will also receive a prize.

All fish must be in the show tanks by Saturday, 9-26-2015 at 10:00 AM.  No exceptions.  All fish must be removed from the show tanks absolutely no later than Sunday, 9-27-2015 at 10:00 AM.  Any fish not removed by 10 AM become the property of TCA and will be sold in the auctions donations to TCA.  Again – NO EXCEPTIONS.

Free tanks will be available for out-of-town attendees to hold their auction fish until Sunday. These tanks must be reserved no later than 6 p.m. on September 21st by contacting Page Ullman. A number of 20-gallon tanks will be for sale during the weekend at $10 each.

Registration fee is $10 per person and includes admission to speaker presentations and Sunday auctions. Kids age 14 and under pay no registration fee. Pizza party cost is $10 per person and must be paid at the registration desk by 3:00 Saturday afternoon.

On Sunday, an all-species live auction will start at 11:00. Registration begins at 9:00. A silent auction will also be conducted Sunday afternoon, at the back of the live auction room. Silent auction bid sheets can now be downloaded/printed from TCA’s website: www.texascichlid.org/auctions/silent-auction-rules. Anyone selling in the silent auction is urged to fill out silent auction bid sheets, one per item, or combination of items, prior to bringing their items to the Silent Auction Chairman.

Raffle tickets will be sold throughout the weekend, and numerous items will be given away during breaks in the auction, with the big prize being a custom tank and stand donated by Deep Sea Aquatics.
