| March 6 | First Ever TCA Swap Meet. Bring your new and used (in good working condition) fishkeeping equipment, rent a table for only $30 and sell, sell, sell! Each seller keeps all sale proceeds. No admission fee. Fish and plants being sold must be bagged appropriately in order to prevent water spillage. No tanks will be set up. | April 29-May 1 | TCA Spring Show, Workshop and Auction at the Hilton Garden Inn in Irving. Speakers have not been set at this time. | May 21 | Road Trip! To the home of John Nicholson, C.R. 2613, outside Caddo Mills, to tour his new fish house. John will also be updating everyone on happenings with the North American Discus Association. Special starting time for the meeting is 6:00. |
| June 18 | Monthly meeting/cookout at 7:00 at the home of Alan Young, 1201 Brookvalley in Arlington. Kathy England will give a quick presentation on some of the pond and bog plants she maintains. |
| July 21-24 | American Cichlid Association convention in Maryland/Washington, DC. |
| August 27 | The regular monthly meeting will be a van tour of several Metroplex fish stores you have likely not visited, and is planned for August 27 th. The first 15 folks who e-mail Kathy England at kengland@pattonroberts.com will get a seat. If the van fills up, others can go on the tour, but will have to arrange their own transportation. Deadline for signup is August 22nd. The plan is to roll out at 9:30 from Alan Young’s house ( 1201 Brookvalley in Arlington ), get lunch along the way and dinner that evening, with an informal business meeting. |

May 15, 2010: Regular monthly meeting at 7:00 at Dawson Middle School, 400 S. Kimball Avenue, Southlake. Dr. Earl Chilton, Aquatic Habitat Enhancement Program Director for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, will be speaking on introduced “exotic” plants and wildlife and their effect on Texas native habitat.

September 3-5, 2010: Federation of Texas Aquarium Societies convention hosted by Oklahoma Aquarium Association, at the Best Western “Saddleback Inn” in Oklahoma City (http://www.bwsaddleback.com). Special room rate of $69 per night. More info as it becomes available.
